VERITAS Carmen - Strong and smart for beginners and experts
The VERITAS Carmen provides unique results for every experience level. The Smart mode helps the sewing beginner quickly achieve the desired result thanks to an integrated step-by-step guide. With the expert mode, the stitches can be individually selected and adjusted. The 272 different functional, elastic, overlock and decorative stitches as well as letters and numbers can be adjusted in length and width and can be saved directly via the memory function. Via the intuitive touch screen the integrated operating instructions and many sewing instructions are called up directly at the machine. Thanks to the start/stop button, the machine can also be operated manually. The speed can also be infinitely adjusted and the thread can be sewn and cut at the touch of a button.
Automatic function
Sewing without a footpedal? No problem, as the VERITAS Carmen switches on and off at the touch of a button. The sewing speed can be adjusted on two further buttons on the free arm. But that is not all the touch of a button can do. The automatic sewing function finishes the end of sewing automatically through three fixing stitches, before the machine stops on its own. One last button activates the thread cutter, which saves thread and the fuss of using scissors.
Everything that the sewers heart desires
The VERITAS Carmen meets the highest level of sewing demand. 172 stitches including numbers and letters, 100 utility, stretch, overlock and decorative stitches, as well as fully automatic button programmes, makes the perfect selection for all areas of application. The stitch width can be set from 0 to a maximum of 7mm and the stitch length from 0 to 4.5mm. The thread tension adapts automatically, so that all seams are even, beautiful and robust.

All stitch patterns, numbers and letters can be arranged and styled to taste and saved for next time on the Memory function. Thereby every detail, as for example the stitch length, can be saved and later adjusted if required. Learn something new every day and get inspired for new projects.
Touchscreen function
AThe modern touchscreen displays multiple function settings. All stitch settings, 7 language settings, various screen savers and the brightness can be adjusted by the touch of a finger. For children’s safety, password protection can be enabled so that no accidents can happen if the buttons are accidentally pressed.
From the expert to the amateur
Thanks to the Smart-Mode, it only takes 4 taps of the screen to get to the stitch presets, so you can achieve perfect stitching with ease and in no time at all. In the expert mode, you can adjust the stitches individually, according to the sewing work. In addition, 10 sewing ideas are given, which give excellent results.
